Jordan Estate – Chatom, AL   2024

This vintage piece was found at the estate sale of a long time dentist of Chatom, Alabama. Dr. Charles Henry Jordan, who passed away in 2006 at the age of 71, was also a former fire chief of the Chatom Volunteer Fire Department and was a retired member of the Alabama National guard where he held the rank of colonel. Dr. Jordan's wife passed away in 2019 at the age of 83. She is remembered for her extraordinary faith, 29 years of teaching in the Chatom Elementary School and her dedication to serving Chatom Community and the Methodist Church. It was said that she played a "mean" game of checkers and loved to play many other games with her friends of many years. The Jordan's children were eager to give the history of their parents' estate treasures and were bittersweet but ready and happy to make sure all their parent's treasures found a new home to once again be loved. They would love for you to enjoy this piece of their past!
