This unique porcelain figurine is 4" tall and about 2" wide. He wears a hand painted light green jacket with pink cuffs and matching pink breeches. The seated man is playing a clarinet type musical instrument. Bottom of piece is stamped with "Made in Occupied Japan". Good overall condition. No chips or cracks.
"Japan" or Occupied Japan" pieces were made at the end of the Second World War from 1945 until 1952 when Japan was occupied by American troops.
This is a lovely piece for any decor and is great for Occupied Japan collectors. This gentleman pairs well with the lovely lady shown in the background pic which is sold separately from my store. (www.turnitaround.online) Will bundle multiple purchases.
