This lovely compote has beautiful coloration featuring embossed daisy design decorated in pastel pink and pale yellow with green foliage on a beautiful cobalt blue background. The interior is a mauvy pink color typically known as "Majolica Pink".
The compote is in vintage condition with a crack about the size of a dime in the interior basin and a couple of lines of crazing in the bottom glaze. (see photos) There is no other noted damage. The crack is not visible when decorative items are placed in the bowl...this sought after Majolica piece is a bargain!
The bowl is stamped with "Majolica Handpainted Taiwan Exclusively for Seymour Mann, Inc. MCMXCI"
It also has a 1987 Seymour Mann sticker.
It measures 5 1/2' high with a top diameter of 10" and a base diameter of 5 1/4". It weighs approximately 2.5 lbs.
