RARE FIND!
This is a beautiful Andrea by Sadek Made in Japan Vase. It is made exquisite by the unique elephant head handles on each side. I did a lot of researching and could find only one other Andrea by Sadek vase with the elephant head handles but it was very different from this one. It is numbered 6489 on the bottom. This vase came from the home of an Army family who had once lived in Japan, therefore, it is probable that it was purchased there as there were many Oriental items in the home. It is a pastel blue with offwhite and green chinsoiserie flowers and bronze colored butterflies with a gold trim around the top. The glaze has a beautiful petit crazing. It is in great vintage condition.
The vase is heavy and stands approximately 8" tall and its midsection has a diameter of approximately 10 ".
This is a gorgeous and unique addition to any decor.
