Chinese Porcelain Rose Medallion/Qianlong Era Red Marked GingerMantle Jar
This Rose Medallion piece was found in an estate sale in Macon, MS in a home full of Oriental/Asian art and numerous other Rose Medallion and Majolica pieces. The locals knew the owner of the estate as "Sugar Pie." He is a well-known and respected entrepreneur and past City Alderman for the City of Macon. He and his late wife, Ann, collected many beautiful things over many years while they lived in one of the city's oldest historical homes. Although his wife's illness prompted them to downsize, they still kept many treasures, this beautiful piece being one of them. I'm sure "Sugar Pie" would love for this to be passed on to become another's treasure!
