The cutest vintage wooden musical box!! This is a very rare wooden music box manufactured by Baby Things by Dakin. The sticker on the bottom reads Dakin and Company 1986. This particular music box is called "Maypole Musical" (#45-0750). It measures approximately 6.5inches tall with the bottom box 3.5 inches on all sides.
The box is painted blue and pink making it fitting for any little boy or girl's room. A wooden rabbit, turtle, bear, and duck are on top of the box rotating along with the Maypole as the music box plays. A colorful turtle on the front of the box is turned to wind up the music box. The box plays "It's a Small World.". (see video and photos)
 
History:  This adorable one-of-a-kind nostagic music box was found in a living estate sale of an elderly lady living in a historic home on Fish River in Fairhope, AL. The childrens' rooms in the old grandeur home was decorated in a nostalgic decor along with hosting various and sundry antique toys. I could tell from looking around, that not much had been spared for the children once living in the rooms. 😊
